People depend on their cellphones to avoid eye contact, conversation, boredom, lapses in conversation, physical communication, etc. Pretty much to avoid reality and social interaction that doesn’t include a keyboard. It has become such a comfort for our culture that it reminds me of children and their comfort items; pacifiers, blankets, thumbs.

So my million dollar idea of today is a pacifier accessory for smart phones. Even when you aren’t typing your latest cry for attention in Facebook or texting mommy for her to bring you your apple juice you can still send out socially awkward vibes…but now even awkward-er! If you don’t have your phone in your face at least have it in your mouth!

I better work up the prototype.
